This last week 911truth.org has received many emails
and phone calls asking why we are not at the frontlines
of the protests against ABC's fictitious Clinton smear,
The Path to 9/11. I don't pretend to speak for the
organization, but having been close to the heart of this
debate I'd like to offer a few answers of my own.
The bad answer is schadenfreude.
Many of
us are in fact rather ironically enjoying the uproar as
Democratic Party defenders of the 5-year cover-up are
now finding their own ox gored. You will notice that
most of the ruckus is not about 9/11 truth at all, but
whose political mythology will prevail.
Once the GOP Rove clones recognized how easily they
and their corporate media pals could sell the 9/11
Commission fantasy to protect their ass and defend their
assaults on international law and the Constitution, what
on earth could stop them from using that
reality-fabricating power offensively to destroy a few
measly Democrats?

September 11-scheduled debate between Dylan "Loose
Change" Avery and someone from Popular Mechanics'
debunker squad on Democracy Now! Given that the
biggest obstacles to 9/11 truth are still popular fear
and ignorance, these broad blasts of audience exposure
to the facts are a godsend to us all. That they are
now appearing in such heretofore truth-allergic forums
also bespeaks how far we've come just within the last
year. Looking forward to author Powell's downstream
account of the editorial politics preceding approval
of this piece, the locker room reactions, and the
blowback afterward. - Ed.

felt no shiver of doubt in those first terrible hours.
He watched the attacks on the World Trade Center and
the Pentagon and assumed al-Qaeda had wreaked terrible
vengeance. He listened to anchors and military experts
and assumed the facts of Sept. 11, 2001, were as stated
on the screen.
It was a year before David Ray Griffin, an eminent
liberal theologian and philosopher, began his stroll
down the path of disbelief. He wondered why Bush
listened to a child's story while the nation was
attacked and how Osama bin Laden, America's Public Enemy
No. 1, escaped in the mountains of Tora Bora.

A wag once famously said that Samuel Beckett’s
Waiting for Godot was a play where nothing happened . .
. twice. The two former co-chairmen of the 9-11
commission report, Thomas Kean and Lee Hamilton, have
released a new book, "Without Precedent: The Inside
Story of the 9-11 Commission." This book goes Beckett
one better – it is the third act of veneer over
substance, self-aggrandizement over serious analysis,
and cliché over perspicacity. It is another calculated
attempt by the former commissioners to place themselves
in the media spotlight, and to overcome the humiliation
of their widely criticized and mostly debunked report...
It would be a farce, except that it has no story line,
save the aggrandizement of the authors. At least they
are consistent in doing nothing and proclaiming that to
be a sign of their devotion to the country and the
government...
On the Fifth anniversary of the September Eleven
Terror Attacks, we, the National Security
Whistleblowers, want to go on record one more time to
reiterate the significant issues and cases that were
duly reported to the 9/11 commission by those of us from
the Intelligence, Aviation, and Law Enforcement
communities, but ended up being censored and omitted.
The failure to address such serious and relevant issues,
witnesses, and information renders the report flawed and
the commissioners parties to a fraud on the nation.

Illness Persisting in 9/11 Workers,
Big Study Finds

The deadly
White House-induced EPA lies about post-9/11 air
quality refuse to fade away as more and more first
responders and rescue workers succumb to lethal
aftereffects. Let us pray for the recovery and
survival of as many of these heroes as possible, while
working for the belated imprisonment of Rove and other
death-dealing, whitewashing "evil doers" who abetted
this tragedy from day one. - Ed.
The largest health study yet of the
thousands of workers who labored at ground zero shows
that the impact of the rescue and recovery effort on
their health has been more widespread and persistent
than previously thought, and is likely to linger far
into the future.
The study, released yesterday by doctors at Mount
Sinai Medical Center, is expected to erase any lingering
doubts about the connection between dust from the trade
center and numerous diseases that the workers have
reported suffering. It is also expected to increase
pressure on the federal government to provide health
care for sick workers who do not have health insurance.
