Smallest room is the house

...A local council in England has put one of its municipal toilet blocks on the market, aiming to sell it for conversion either to a shopkeeper or a potential homeowner.

The 40 square metre red-brick building, which was a men's toilet until about 15 years ago, is in Petersfield, southern England, and is being sold for £100,000 ($238,000).

East Hampshire District Council, which owns the property, would prefer it go to retail use. But there would be no objection if someone wanted to convert it into a tiny home, said the real estate agent, Jacobs and Hunt. "I have never sold a toilet before but I am hoping to sell one soon," said Christopher Brockhurst, a director of the firm...

News Xtra: The 'toilet' was indeed sold to a couple, who in their wisdom immediatley set about cutting down one of three old trees standing outside their newly acquired premise, with a view to cutting down the remaining two! These trees have stood a long time and add such character to the square that it should never be allowed that two people come along and just because their GRAND PLAN is to create just another cafe in Petersfield (we already have thirty!), they be allowed to chop the life out of the centre of the town. I mean: human need and greed is quite out of control, when people are prepared to do business out of a TOILET, why should they STINK up THE REST OF THE TOWN..?!? There is no real wisdom left, is there . .  only business . .
