There seems to be great
interest in
instrumental music
amongst
a
large section of the
British folk. The
rise of radio stations
like
Classic FM
show
some of that, but it's mostly through
selling
CDs
directly to the public that I've noticed
a distinct
upsurge
in demand. My guess
is that a lot of people
want
to
connect
to sound rather than to personality,
which
all too often gets in the way
of the music.
Even
the classical
waters seem polluted by
this
'cult of the poisonality'.
